The new faster processor and added more memory of 16gb, the iPhone 3GS is a lot faster than the old version. The new iPhone 3GS has a sharp 3 megapixel camera, it records a quality video in a good lighting but it doesn't have a flash for camera. The functionality of voice control is inconsistent. The iPhone 3GS is unable to multitask with third party applications. Overall the iPhone 3GS nearly perfected that was already a stellar smart phone.
It has the new fingerprint-resistant coating for the display, the iPhone 3GS is less susceptible to smudging. The 3.5 touchscreen is a brilliant sharp 480 x 320 pixels.
When you on the iPhone 3GS it boots in at least 19 seconds compared to the old iPhone 3G. Also, the loading web page is now twice as fast than the old iPhone. With the new iPhone 3GS, the nytimes.com web page loads in 17 seconds, and the old iPhone loads it for 40 seconds.
As long as we have a good lighting for the camera, it produces a crisp fluid VGA footage. You can also shave clips using e-mail and YouTube. The iPhone 3GS can also edit some clips with the use of the touchscreen, but it is not intuitive. The autofocus on the 3mp just works very well.
You can also you voice commands to make calls and play music. We also like to check the integration of Spotlight Search or adding the ability to find businesses via the maps application.
The maps application has a new digital compass. Just load it, touch the bottom left corner to find the location and engage the compass. It also supports the Google Street View and the ability to see all the directions around, which both a very nice features.
It is easy to set up and to look for e-mail accounts. Typing while in a landscape mode on 3GS is the very best experience on any touchscreen devices out there.
The 50,000 plus iTunes App Store, it includes the turn by turn GPS navigation apps, which is impossible to beat. Some more highlights of the software includes the stereo Bluetooth support, has the ability to buy TV shows and movies wirelessly, the well executed cut and paste functionality. If you lose your iPhone, you can find it and you can remove its content if you lose it, but it requires the $99 yearly MobileMe subscription.
iPhone 3GS is a very high end media phone and a player, it now has a 16GB or 32GB storage space files for your movies, musics and TV shows.
We had some three dropped calls experience while testing the iPhone 3GS. We noticed also that the handset would sometimes go back to slow edge data in a 3G coverage area. The voice quality is fair to good, but with some fuzziness going on.

The iPhone 3GS is about $199, it is a very high end smart phone because of its very improved speed, a vast iTunes App Store and video recording functionality. We just hope that this device will be more available to more cellphone providers. This smart phonejust beats its other competitors.
